Kristie Arslan is the Executive Director  for the National Association for the Self-Employed's Legislative Offices. Arslan directs the NASE’s advocacy and research program in Washington D.C. She works closely with our nation’s legislators, the Administration and other small business advocacy organizations to ensure that the needs of the self-employed and micro-business remain a priority.

Arslan also heads the team that manages the NASE’s grassroots program, which mobilizes NASE Members to actively participate in protecting the interests of the self-employed. Taking advantage of the NASE Web site, Arslan utilizes technology to create an effective grassroots program that bridges the gaps between the NASE Membership and the U.S. Congress and Administration.

Arslan serves on the Board of Directors for the Coalition for Affordable Health Coverage (CAHC) and the Small Business Legislative Councel (SBLC). In addition, she is the Chair and founding member of the coalition supporting Equity for Our Nation's Self-Employed.

Prior to the NASE, Arslan served as government affairs manager for National Small Business United where she was responsible for monitoring and lobbying on various small business issues. A graduate of Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, she also completed a Masters of Public Administration at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
