Home Office Protection
Insurance to cover your home office, at no additional cost to Gold Members!
Unfortunately, a traditional homeowner’s insurance policy often provides very limited protection for those items which usually make up a home office. As a result, the Home Office Protection Plan was developed. This coverage can provide extra protection over any losses which occur at your residence premises home office. Homeowner’s policies often don’t provide coverage for business related liability claims which occur at your home, or temporary relocation expenses in the event that your home office is unusable as the result of a covered loss. This coverage as outlined below (subject to certain sub-limits) is provided at no extra charge to NASE Members.
NASE Members are provided valuable protection for their business assets. Coverage includes:
Home Office Equipment:
- $7,500 per occurrence ($1,000 maximum per item with some special limits)
- $1,000 for electrical equipment per policy period
- $250 for tools per policy period
- $250 deductible per occurrence
Temporary Relocation:
- Up to $500 for temporary relocation of your Home Business
- Maximum of $250 per month
Liability:
- $20,000 Business Liability Coverage (at residence)
Coverage includes, but is not limited to:
- Fire/lightning
- Ice/snow damage
- Windstorm/hail
- Explosion
- Vandalism
- Theft
- Burglary
RESTRICTIONS: This is a brief description of the coverage offered under the Blanket Home Business Personal Effects Policy and applies only to Premier Resource Members of the association in good standing. Coverage is excess and is subject to limitations and exclusions. The loss must occur at your residence premises. This protection does not provide products liability protection, Errors and Omissions protection or coverage for acts occurring away from the home business location (residence premises). Liability protection does not cover Workers' Compensation or Long Shoremans/Harborworkers Act. All burglary and theft claims will require you to file and submit a police report.
