WASHINGTON, D.C. – As the small business community experiences historic, record-setting growth for over the third consecutive year, Keith Hall, president and CEO of the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) — the nation’s leading advocate for the self-employed and micro-businesses — celebrated this momentum by spotlighting the tools and resources NASE provides to support both new and existing small business owners.

Hall, a small business entrepreneur himself, is proud to contribute to the Summer 2025 Small Business Campaign by Mediaplanet and USA Today launching today, both in print and online. His featured piece, “Maximizing Success: Essential Tools and Resources for Launching and Growing Your Small Business, highlights key tools and resources available not only to NASE members but also to the broader small business community.

The record-setting launch of over 20 million small businesses over the past three years underscores the resilience and determination of those stepping out of unemployment and into an opportunity starting their own small business,” said Keith Hall, president and CEO of National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the nation's leading advocate and resource for the self-employed and micro-businesses. “The small business community is the heart of our nation — powering the middle class and generating ripple effects that strengthen our economy. At NASE, we proudly stand with every entrepreneur — whether just starting out or long established — supporting them on their journey to self-employment. And remember: you’re not alone. We’re here to help.”

In the Mediaplanet and USA Today feature, Hall writes:

“Our members enjoy exclusive benefits, from competitive dependent scholarships to our signature Growth Grants program, made possible through collaborations with partners like AARP and Dell Small Business. Members also gain access to our Ask the Experts service, where professionals from across the country offer specialized advice on everything from taxes and marketing to legal and business strategy.

“Our website serves as a robust hub of knowledge for the self-employed. It features publicly accessible press releases, insightful articles on trending business topics, tax and policy updates, and direct responses to key issues being addressed in Washington. We also offer practical business advice through our NASE Minute video series, which provides quick, one-minute tips delivered by our in-house experts. These videos cover a wide range of subjects, from choosing an accountant and leveraging social media to managing schedules and using AI tools to streamline operations.

“In addition, we provide specialized financial calculators to help small business owners forecast expenses and plan effectively, whether they’re just starting out or looking to grow an existing operation.”

NASE advocates and gives voice to America’s smallest employers, the self-employed and micro-businesses, before our elected leaders in Washington. In addition, NASE serves as a critical resource for new and existing small businesses in their operations. Specifically, NASE offers a robust Growth Grant program – sponsored by AARP and DELL Small Business – to Ask The Experts business and tax advice and the NASE Minute video with free business advice online to both members and the public. To help new and existing business owners with the estimating the costs of business ownership, the NASE also offers a series of financial calculators for budgeting and financial analysis. The association’s goal is to support the small business community to help them to grow and thrive.
