NASE Comments on Technical Guidance Issued on Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs)

Established in 2002, Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) or Health Reimbursement Accounts are employer-funded, tax-advantaged employer health benefit plans that reimburse employees for out-of-pocket medical expenses and individual health insurance premiums. Health Reimbursement Accounts are funded solely by the employer, and cannot be funded through employee salary deductions.

Taking the Home Office Deduction? Read This (Fox Business)

The IRS says it is making it easier this year to file the home-office deduction. Instead of filling out the long and complicated form 8829 as in the past, taxpayers can now take a standard deduction, according to the IRS. The standard deduction is equal to the square footage of the home office multiplied by $5 for a maximum deduction of $1,500.
